TPU/ABS composit plate is one new kind of enviroment friendly material used for car gauge panel and inner decoration. It adopts  multi manifold procee to make TPU coat on ABS instead of glue coating so that the finished product does not release formaldehyde  or creat inner air pollution. Plate thickness from 1.5mm to 8mm, width from 1800mm to 2000mm. Automotive interior plate extrusion machine is used to produce components like interior panels, trim pieces, and other decorative parts for vehicle interiors.

Key Components and Features

1. Extruder:

Screw and Barrel: Designed to melt and mix the TPU/ABS pellets uniformly. Different screw designs (single or twin-screw) can be used depending on the required output and material properties.

Heating Zones: Multiple heating zones along the barrel to ensure precise control of the melting temperature.

2. T-Die Head:

Shapes the molten polymer into a flat sheet. The die design is critical for ensuring uniform thickness and surface quality.

3. Calibration Unit:

Used to cool and shape the extruded sheet to the desired dimensions and surface finish. Water or air cooling systems are typically employed.

4. Haul-off Unit:

Pulls the extruded sheet from the die at a consistent speed to maintain uniform thickness and quality.

5. Cutting Unit:

Cuts the continuous sheet into specific lengths as per the production requirements. This can be done using mechanical cutters, laser cutting, or other methods.

6. Control System:

Advanced PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems for precise control over temperature, pressure, speed, and other critical parameters.


Material Considerations

TPU: Known for its elasticity, transparency, and resistance to oil and grease. It requires precise temperature control to avoid degradation.

ABS: Valued for its toughness and impact resistance. It needs careful handling to avoid overheating, which can cause fumes and degradation.


Process Overview

1. Feeding: TPU/ABS pellets are fed into the extruder.

2. Melting: The pellets are heated and melted as they move through the screw and barrel.

3. Extrusion: The molten polymer is forced through the die to form a flat sheet.

4. Calibration and Cooling: The extruded sheet is cooled and shaped to the desired specifications.

5. Haul-off: The sheet is pulled away from the die at a controlled speed.

6. Cutting: The sheet is cut to the required length.
